Ballet, Rhubarb, and Lily of the Valley

{There is a part of me that will always be a dancer, and it's a part I cherish}

{ Turn, turn, turn in ballet skirt & chiffon sleeves}

{Half-bun with antique key hair pin}

{Hiking boo-boo & sad face}

{A bouquet of rhubarb!}

{Rhubarb pie shared with a dear friend & a real bouquet of Lily of the Valley}

This feels like a celebration of so many things I love! Ballet, rhubarb, and Lily of the Valley...I'm feeling extraordinarily blessed.
My own happiness is fragile and fleeting, but the Lord's freedom and joy in my life are what fill my cup to overflowing.

Thank you, Lord, for YOUR joy and provision in my life. For lovely people who gift me a bouquet of rhubarb. For inspirational mentors to share a meal & rhubarb pie. And for dear friends who offer me sweet, sweet Lily of the Valley.
Thank you, too, for the spirit within me that loves to dance, and for the rediscovery of that pleasure, if only in my yard and living room ;-)

All I can think is one of my favorite hymns..."He's the Lily of the Valley, the Bright and Morning Star, He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul."

Natalie- that is my all time favorite hymn! And since my birthday I in May, the Lily of the Valley is my flower...and ballerinas hold a special place in my heart! Seems like you wrote the post for me- except for the rhubarb!! :-)
